FAQ

Here are some of the most common questions that we receive from our customers.

Do you have a question that isn’t answered below? Please contact us and we’ll be happy to help!

Do ART products support newer operating systems such as Windows 11?

Yes. All current ART products with USB audio interfaces are class compliant. This means that they can generally be used on modern operating systems without requiring dedicated driver software.

Legacy drivers for ART products are available for download from their respective product pages, and from the Manuals page. Please note that this driver may not be compatible with newer operating systems such as Windows 11, but the hardware itself remains compatible and can be used with these newer OSes. If you have a legacy driver installed on your system and experience issues after updating to Windows 11, we recommend uninstalling the ART audio driver.

Universal ASIO drivers are also available from third-party developers, which may offer improved compatibility and performance in some applications. Please note that ART is not involved with the development or support of these drivers. However, as support of class compliant devices has become more common, we believe that class compliant operation is the simplest and most convenient option for most users on modern operating systems.

How do I get warranty service?

Please talk to your authorized ART dealer or the distributor for your country.

In Canada and the US, you can also return your product to Yorkville Sound as long as you have a Return Authorization number. To request an RA#, please complete this form

Please note that you must have an RA# before shipping your product. Shipments without an RA# will be refused. We do not accept shipments without an RA#.

Can I order a replacement power supply?

Yes! Please contact your authorized ART dealer or the distributor for your country. They should be able to order one for you.

Please make sure to note the power requirements that are printed on your product. Some of our products have gone through multiple hardware revisions, so the power requirements for your product may be different from what’s listed in the most recent manual.

If you’re not sure which adapter you need, please contact us and we’ll help you identify the right one.

Can I still get parts and service for discontinued products?

We try to maintain sufficient parts inventory so that we can continue to service products for years, even after they are no longer in production. However, replacement parts are unavailable in some cases, particularly with older discontinued products.

If you need parts or service for a discontinued product, please contact us and we’ll see what we can do to help!

I want to order a discontinued product. Do you have any extra stock left in the warehouse?

Unfortunately not. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

How can I get a product schematic?

Please email [email protected]. Please note that we don’t release schematics for new products that are still under warranty.

Where are ART products designed and manufactured?

ART products were originally designed and built in Rochester, New York.

ART officially joined the Yorkville Sound family in 1999, and today, our new products are designed by the engineering team at the Yorkville campus outside of Toronto, Canada, in collaboration with a sales and service team that remains in upstate New York.

We also work with several trusted overseas manufacturing partners, some of whom have been building ART products for decades, so we can continue to deliver on the ART promise of reliable build quality and durable construction at affordable prices.

Will my Tube MP sound better if I change the tube?

“Better” is subjective, but it will probably sound different.

We love our modding community, but please note that changing the tube will void your warranty unless done by an authorized service technician.

My preamp seems noisy. What’s wrong?

If you’re experiencing unwanted noise with a standalone preamp, please make sure you’re plugging the output of the preamp into a line-level input, not a mic-level input.

The 1/4” output of the Tube MP/C can also switch between line level and instrument level. At instrument level, the output can feed the input of a guitar or bass amplifier, or other processors that accept similar signals.

If it’s anything else, please contact us for technical support.

My VU meter pins as soon as I connect my ART product to a mixer or other destination. What happened?

Check to see if phantom power is enabled on the device into which you’re connecting your ART product. If phantom power is engaged, the output meter on the ART product will read this voltage, and the VU meter will pin at the maximum level.

If you can’t disable phantom power on the destination device, we recommend connecting to the 1/4” output of your ART product rather than the XLR output, as the 1/4” output doesn’t support phantom power.

If it’s anything else, please contact us for technical support.

The LCD display is scrambled. What do I do?

If the LCD readout is scrambled and you cannot store presets, the internal battery is likely dead and needs to be replaced.

Once you replace the battery, you will need to reset the unit to factory settings, because the memory has been corrupted. Please see below for reset instructions.

My product has a dead battery. What kind of replacement do I need?

ART effect processors with storable presets use a BR2325 3-volt lithium battery. These usually last 5 to 7 years.

We’re not about to argue with Big Hairy Guitars.
