The ART ProSPLIT is a passive device that supports XLR connections and has low noise and a wide frequency response. The ProSplit provides one direct-coupled output and one isolated output from a single microphone input. The ART ProSPLIT has a ground lift switch to reduce ground loop hum in addition to an attenuator switch so the unit can also handle signals that have already passed through a preamplifier. The direct output passes phantom power to the input, so it is able to support the use of condenser-type microphones. Example applications for the ProSPLIT include sending a direct microphone signal to a mixer, while a transformer isolated feed is sent to a recorder. The ProSPLIT is housed in a black anodized aluminum extrusion with firm rubber bumper panels on the sides and features reliable switches and jacks.
