ART SMS226 Speaker Management System Debuts at NAMM 2013

January 2013

Applied Research & Technology (ART) delivers high performance two-in / six-out fully programmable speaker management system in their 2013 catalog.

Designed for maximum versatility the ART SMS226 speaker processor delivers stereo processing modules on the two audio inputs and six mono processing blocks applied to each output; allowing 2×2, 2×2 +sub, 2×3, 1×4, 1×5, 1×6 configurations.

Stereo processing blocks include 1/3 octave graphic EQ, RMS compressor, Noise gate, Phase, Feedback suppression and Sub-harmonic generator. Mono processing blocks include crossover filters, delay, parametric EQ, Limiter, Level and Phase control.

The Graphic EQ can be set up by an Auto-EQ function utilizing the measurement mic that comes with the ART SMS226.

The mono processing blocks can be set with the auto-configuration function, where the user selects system components from various manufacturers already loaded in the SM226. Output Limiters can be linked in pairs to keep stereo balance or tied together to maintain overall spectral balance.

All parameters in the SMS226 can be accessed by front panel interface with large graphic LCD display allowing the user access to all of the processing blocks directly. A front panel USB connector that allows direct connection to any PC laptop for full graphic control all functions or to perform software updates and process presets.
